It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

AJ in a losing battle to shovel the mounds of snow the plow put in front of the house.Well, we had our first snow day of the season on Friday. AJ has been bugging me every morning since Thanksgiving vacation to stay home with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy did have to work, but AJ and I had a blast in the snow. Then we went to McDonalds for a lunchtime playdate with Becky and Ryan. They had a ball!

Ticket to Read

I learned about the to help get kids reading and reward them at no cost to the district. Passed the information along to Bernadette, Deb, Stephanie, and Marcy. I’ve heard from Steph and Bernadette and I guess that Bernadette has requested Jackie’s approval and that it be on the board agenda for the 13th. I don’t remember needing board approval for things like this in the past, but I guess that the bigger the bureaucracy, the bigger the process to get things done.

I’m hopeful that we can find a way to make this work. I discussed with Steph the possibility of getting John to create a way to log everything online, so he’ll be thrilled to have a little project. (I hope!)
