It’s been a while

. . . since I posted. I really want to begin to blog my professional reading and thoughts, but I just don’t think that this is the forum for that content, so I’ll probably be building another blog somewhere. I just have to figure out where it should be!

[editorial note: After some consideration over the last few days, I decided to alter this blog to suit my more general needs and have merged my entries from LiveJournal into this blog.] March 1, 2006

I haven’t been doing a whole lot of knitting lately, although I’ve started thinking about Christmas presents for next winter. I guess I just need to figure out who/what and get myself to the yarn shop. :)

AJ has been growing and laughing and doing well . . . right up until the point we put him to bed. He then turns into a raging hellion. He gets so upset that he kicks and screams and beats his head on the crib or wall or both. The house literally shakes when he’s having one of his full-on fits. He’s woken up with bruises on his feet from the kicking. I don’t know what to do about it. I guess I need to call the pediatrician. I feel like a flunky-mom on nights when he’s really raving. John’s taken to calling it singing, but that’s about the only fun we get out of it all. Even so, who can resist that face?

Crashed

AJ finally succumbed to the romance of the racecar bed in this lovely photo of him all bedded down for the night.

Unfortunately, I think this was the last night he actually slept in the racecar bed before begging to return to the crib yet again. He’s such a cutie, even if he is prone to ranting when he is supposed to be sleeping.

As you can see, he went to bed with everything except the kitchen sink—but he did bring his water, frog, Mr. Beaver, and wore his beloved “roar-roar hat” (all through the night!)
