I’m thankful
We had a great day today. We slept in until about 9am, got showered, kids fed, and were on our way to my mom’s by 10:30. I had to stop and pick up rolls for dinner (my contribution, along with mashing the potatoes.)
Vince presented Rob and I with Medical PoA papers for him and Mom and talked a little about what they wanted and expected from us. (Nice way to start a day of thanks, right?) But really, I am thankful that we don’t have to wonder or worry about what they want or what the right decision is.
We sat down to dinner and before Vince could get a chance to say grace, AJ jumped in with it, complete with “Bon appetit, you may eat!” after he finished. That is apparently what Miss Mindy says at school before the kids get to eat. AJ’s taken to adding it to the end of grace at home and I think it’s adorable.
Dad came back home with us for another night and we spent the better part of the evening playing with Qu!cken and trying to get things working. Fortunately we figured out what the biggest problem was—I hadn’t put in a starting balance when I downloaded our transactions from the bank, so we were operating in the negative to the extreme according to its accounting. The correction solved a lot of problems. I added our vehicles as assets and the house and van loans as liabilities. I still need to get our investment accounts entered but I’m making some progress.
