7 1/2 hours (of work) left until summer vacation!
So, tomorrow is our last day of school and then summer vacation officially begins. I really need this vacation—so, I should be spending my first day of vacation doing nothing, right? Nope, I’m going to go check out a new daycare for Zoe and pop by the township building to find out what they need for building permits, etc. for the house. No biggie, I could do that in the afternoon, but I foolishly made my appointment for 10am. At least I can stay home in bed until about 8:45, two hours later than normal.
My big plans for tomorrow? Unplug and defrost my refrigerator, clean off the counter, shelve the books, go to another school to meet with a book rep, back to school for lunch and to meet with our school climate committee to plan for next year. Should be a good day, all in all. It sure would be nice if I’d hear about that job though! I wonder when they’ll tell me something. Maybe by July 1st. Maybe by the time I’m supposed to report back in late August. Whatever, it’s just a job, right?
I am so jealous of your vacation! I wish I had become a teacher….LOL Summer’s off! Yay! I go on vacation in two weeks, I can’t wait, the first vacation where we have no plans to go anywhere – so different for us!! I don’t know what to do with myself, but I am so looking forward to it! Enjoy your time off, and look at it this way, get all you need to get done, done now, and enjoy the rest of the summer!

Wow, you guys are done fairly early in June. Around here most of the schools go to June 26th (at least for teachers).
How rude that still nothing said.
