Kindle2 Is on Its Way to My House!
I ordered my Kindle2 today from Amazon. I got a great review from a friend a few weeks ago and was really tempted but wasn’t quite ready to take the plunge. Then, about two weeks ago, a co-worker brought hers in to school and I saw it in my hands and knew I wanted one.
Fortunately, I have a sweet husband who loves me very much. When we were packing and cleaning up in the old house, we put all of the change we found into several different containers. He let me take them to the local grocery store’s CoinStar machine where I cashed it in for an Amazon gift certificate. Some of the money was his poker money, but we ended up with $228.80 in change, so we needed to add a bit more to it to fund the Kindle, but considering that it was basically found money, not too shabby.
I suspect that the reason he’s being so generous is he wants to purchase any things he needs for his gun collection before any kind of bans or legislation make their way through congress and onto the President’s desk.
I promise to write more about the Kindle when I get it. It’ll be interesting to see how it works and how I like it. I hope that I’m not disappointed.
