About Me
I am a school librarian, mother, wife, teacher, knitter, reader, and probably some other things I can’t think of at the moment! 
I love reading and writing but not ‘rithmetic. I enjoy knitting and have done a bit here and there, but never as much as I’d like! I believe that laughter is the best medicine, and some days I am pretty sick! 
I began my teaching career in high school when I taught swimming lessons to kids age 2-12. I’ve been a school librarian since 1992. I’ve worked in elementary, middle, and high school libraries and in public libraries as well.
Life keeps me busy but I’m trying to be better about using this blog to track my life.
Ancora Imparo means “I am still learning”; the importance of lifelong learning is something I want to instill in my students (and my children) so when I found this phrase, it became my signature file for work email. I tried desperately to get it as a domain for my blog but no such luck. I managed to get KnittingLibrarian, so that’s my new blog name. I’m working on a redesign and implementation, but it seems to be slow going at the moment.
